October brings cooler weather, shorter days, changing leaves, and fun opportunities for our families and friends to spend time together! We hope that you and yours are enjoying this season and the much needed rain. Take a look below to learn about what's new in Liberty Hill ISD!

The Magic of Friday Night Lights

In the heart of the Texas hill country, Liberty Hill, TX, stands as a close-knit community that takes great pride in its unique traditions and values. Among these cherished customs, none shines brighter than "Friday Night Lights." Although it may initially conjure images of high school football games illuminated by stadium lights, it represents much more than that. Friday night football games in Liberty Hill encompass more than just touchdowns; they are a manifestation of community pride, spirit, and unwavering support for the future of this tight-knit town.

The Legend of the Liberty Hill Panther and the Birth of a Mascot

In the heart of the wild Texas Hill Country, Liberty Hill, Texas, isn't just a town with picturesque landscapes and a rich history; it's a place where the soul of the community beats with a fierce pulse, a pulse that's found its rhythm in the legend of the Liberty Hill Panther.

Join us as we journey into the heart of this enchanting tale, exploring the mythical panther that has haunted the town's collective imagination for generations and the remarkable story of how this creature came to be the Liberty Hill Independent School District (LHISD) mascot.

Cross Country Wraps Up!

The cross country season came to an end this week. The girls team finished 14th out of 23 teams. Nick Hogge finished 45th and Chay Luna finished 83rd out of 189 runners. These runners worked so hard all season and we want to congratulate them for what they have accomplished this year. We have a young team and can’t wait for a chance to get back to regionals next year! Go Panthers!

LHHS Fall Festival

Join us for the fun! If there is no rain on Saturday, we will have the event outside as mentioned in the flyer below. If we experience rain on Saturday, we will move the event inside of back gyms of the high school.

All patrons would enter the gym through Door 16 or Door 19, depending on where your vehicle is parked. If we move indoors, there will be signage with directions.

Please be aware there is a community group hosting another festival Saturday in the cafeteria, PAC, and PAC foyer. That means if it rains, Fall Festival guests will only be allowed in the back gym areas.
