TEA Announces Delay in Release of Accountability Ratings
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced that there will be a temporary delay in the release of the 2023 A-F accountability ratings for districts and campuses. The original date of release, scheduled for Sept. 28, will now be postponed for approximately one month.
In Liberty Hill ISD, student STAAR and End-of-Course tests results have improved overall compared to the previous school year. However, based on the significant changes to the state accountability system we may not see these improvements reflected in the state accountability rating. TEA stated that the purpose of the postponement is to allow further re-examination of the data used in calculation for accountability.
