Liberty Hill High School’s Megan Sauber Named Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year
LIBERTY HILL, Texas (Sept. 23, 2025) — Liberty Hill High School Associate Principal Megan Sauber has been named the Region 13 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP).
Each year, TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the 20 regional education service centers across Texas. Honorees are nominated by their peers for exemplary performance, leadership and dedication to student success. As the Region 13 winner, Sauber advances as a candidate for Texas Assistant Principal of the Year.
Sauber has served on the Liberty Hill High School administrative team since 2022. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human ecology from Kansas State University and later completed a Master of Education in school counseling and a principal education certificate from Lamar University. Colleagues describe her as innovative, forward-thinking and deeply committed to student and teacher growth.
Liberty Hill High School Principal Bryon Ellison praised Sauber’s leadership.
“I am incredibly proud of Ms. Sauber for being recognized as the TASSP Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year,” Ellison said. “This award is a reflection of her dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to our students, staff and community. Ms. Sauber goes above and beyond each day to ensure that Liberty Hill High School is a place where students can thrive, and this recognition is truly well deserved.”
Sauber said she is grateful to be honored and credited the Liberty Hill community for its role in the recognition.
“I am honored to be recognized as the TASSP Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year,” Sauber said. “I feel incredibly blessed to serve in such a supportive community like Liberty Hill. Each day, I am inspired by the dedication of our teachers and staff, the resilience and determination of our students, and the unwavering support of our families and community. This recognition is a reflection of all of us working together to make a difference in our school and community.”
All regional winners will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner, held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer Conference in June. Honorees also will be featured in Texas Principals, Texas Heroes, a publication celebrating school leaders across the state.
