Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees announces the hiring of Stratton Brown as the new Liberty Hill Middle School Principal

LHMS Principal Stratton BrownThe Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the hiring of Stratton Brown as the new principal of Liberty Hill Middle School.

Brown brings a strong background in campus leadership, student achievement, and relationship-driven school culture to the role. Since 2019, he has served as Associate/Assistant Principal at Rouse High School in Leander, where he has helped support approximately 2,300 students annually through collaborative leadership, streamlined campus systems, and a commitment to high expectations for both students and staff.

Throughout his leadership experience, Brown has worked closely with teachers and administrators to align campus goals with district priorities, facilitate productive professional learning communities, and support meaningful professional development opportunities for staff. He has also led campus planning efforts with school and community stakeholders to identify needs and implement impactful school-wide initiatives.

Known for his student-centered leadership style, Brown prioritizes building strong relationships with students, staff, and families while fostering a culture rooted in trust, transparency, accountability, and collaboration. His experience includes overseeing campus operations, mentoring educators, supporting staff growth and retention, responding to campus safety needs, and ensuring high levels of teaching and learning across departments.

Brown earned a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University.

“I feel incredibly honored and excited to serve as the next principal of Liberty Hill Middle School and join the LHISD family. My goal is to build on the outstanding culture already established at LHMS while continuing to create opportunities for every student to grow and reach their highest potential. I look forward to partnering with students, staff, parents, and the community as we continue the great work happening at LHMS."


Mr. Brown and his wife Caroline have been married for 15 years and are proud parents of two sons, Brady and Nolan. Caroline works as a nurse practitioner in the Austin area. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking, and snorkeling together whenever they get the opportunity.
