First Day of School

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
We will conduct all instruction in person.

Registration

Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open. All new students must complete online registration. All returning students will need to verify information including address and emergency contact info within Skyward.

New Student Enrollment - Please register and provide all required documents by Monday, Aug. 5. New students to the district must be complete by this deadline. Not enrolling by this time will cause a delay in enrollment and may cause your child to not be able to participate in class walks, meet-the-teacher events, or may not be assigned to classrooms for the start of school. Completed submissions made after the deadline will take a minimum of two business days for processing.

*If documentation is not provided, it will take an extended period of processing time to request it from your previous school district.

School Supplies

School supply lists for each grade level can be found at LHISD School Supply Lists 2024-25. Students in grades 9-12 will receive information regarding school supplies from the teachers during "Meet the Teacher" night or on the first day of school.

Chromebooks and iPads

Kinder through First Grades: Classrooms are issued ipads for each student that stay at school.

Second through Fifth Grades: Classrooms are issued chromebooks for each student that stay at school.

Sixth through Eighth Grades: Students will be issued a chromebook during the first week of school that can be taken home and they are responsible for.

Ninth Grade: Students will be issued a laptop during the first week of school that can be taken home and they are responsible for.

Tenth through Twelfth Grades: New students will be issued a laptop during the first week of school that can be taken home and they are responsible for.  Returning students will continue to keep their existing district-issued laptop.

Elementary Campuses

Parent 101

Information night for all new families to the campus is on August 1, 2024 from 2-3 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. at every campus.

Meet the Teacher 

Learn who your teacher is, look at your room, and drop off your supplies on August 9, from 4-6 p.m. at every campus.

Parent Orientation Night 

Parents will hear more specific information from their child's teacher about the classroom expectations for the school year. PreK-first grade is on August 26, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and second – fifth grade is on August 29, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Secondary Campuses

Liberty Hill Middle School and Santa Rita Middle School:

"Schedule Walk" and "Meet the Teacher" is on August 12, from 4-6:30 p.m.

Schedules: All secondary schedules will be available ONLINE through Skyward on August 12 at 3 p.m.

Liberty Hill High School:

"Panther Preview" for New to Liberty Hill ninth-12th – grade students is on August 6, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

"Panther Prowl" (walk your schedule and meet your teachers) for all students is on August 12, from 6-8 p.m.

Schedules: All secondary schedules will be available ONLINE through Skyward.

Legacy Ranch High School:

“Wrangler Round-up” for New to Legacy Ranch 9th – grade students is on August 6, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

“Wrangler Rodeo” (walk your schedule and meet your teachers) for all students is on August 12, from 6-8 p.m.

Schedules: All secondary schedules will be available ONLINE through Skyward.

Student Schedules/Teacher Assignments

New and returning students must be registered for the 2024-25 school year to receive their schedules/teacher assignments.

  • Elementary (PK-5) Friday, August 9 at Meet the Teacher events
  • Secondary (6-12) Monday, August 12 at 3 p.m.

Transportation

Liberty Hill ISD will utilize the SMART TAG system in the 2024-25 school year. If your child needs transportation, please sign up for Transportation Services at the following link: 

FAQ’s:

  • Where do I find my route? Routes are in the SmartTag parent portal. Once registered to ride the bus it will take 3-4 days for the route to show up in parent portal.
  • Where is my bus stop? Locations will be in the parent portal on Aug. 8th.
  • When should we arrive at the bus stop (drop off, arrival)? At least five minutes prior to bus stop arrival time.
  • How will my child go to school on the first day? If you were provided a bus SmartTag last year, your child will use the same SmartTag this year. Complete the 24/25 Transportation Registration form.
  • I am a new bus rider, when will I get my SmartTag? Students will be provided a SmartTag by the campus or the bus driver. 
  • I don’t have a student ID yet, how do I sign up for a SmartTag? Use 000000 if you don’t have a student ID number yet. Please make sure your address in registration matches SkyWard.
  • What if the weather is bad? Bad weather does not stop buses from continuing their routes. 
  • What if there is a delay? The district will send out notification through the SmartTag parent portal.
  • What if I lose my SmartTag? There is a $5.00 replacement fee for a new SmartTag.

Nutrition Services

You may submit your online application for free and reduced lunches within Skyward Family Access.  

Panther Care

Our Panther Care department provides premier services to the students and community of Liberty Hill. We are currently offering before and after-school child care. A new program has been established to provide enrichment opportunities for the students of LHISD through our Panther Academy courses.
