Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!

We’re excited to welcome our students and families back for another year of learning, growth, and opportunity in Liberty Hill ISD! The first day of school is Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and we’ll be conducting all instruction in person.

This Back to School page is your go-to guide for everything you need to get your student ready—from registration and school supplies to Meet the Teacher events, transportation details, and more.

Meet the Teacher Information

Elementary Campuses

Friday August 8, 2025

Principals will stagger times based on last name. There will be a room set up with devices so that parents can complete verification if they haven't already done so before getting a teacher assignment.

  • 3-4:00pm:  A - I
  • 4-5:00pm: J - Q
  • 5-6:00pm: R - Z

 

Campus 101 Meetings – Thursday, July 31, 2025

(Named by campus - LHE 101, BBE 101, etc.)
Information night for all new families to the campus.

  • 2:00–3:00 PM
    • Audience: All families new to the school
    • Purpose: General orientation and welcome
  • 5:00–6:00 PM
    • Two Sessions Offered Simultaneously:
      • PreK & Kindergarten Session – Focused information for families with young students
      • New Families Repeat Session – General orientation for families who couldn’t attend the 2:00 PM meeting

 

Meet the Teacher 

  • Learn who your teacher is, look at your room, and drop off your supplies on Friday, August 8, from 4-6 p.m. at every campus.

 

Parent Orientation Night 

  • Parents will hear more specific information from their child's teacher about the classroom expectations for the school year. PreK – second grade is TBD, and third – fifth grade is on TBD. More information coming soon. 

Secondary Campuses

Liberty Hill Middle School and Santa Rita Middle School:

"Schedule Walk" and "Meet the Teacher"

  • 7th and 8th Grade is on August 7th, from 4-6 p.m.
  • 6th Grade is on August 8th, from 3-5 p.m.

Schedules: All middle school schedules will be available ONLINE through Skyward on August 7 at 12 p.m.

Liberty Hill High School:

  • "Panther Preview" for New to Liberty Hill 9th -12th grade students is on August 5th, from 4-6 p.m.
  • "Panther Prowl" (walk your schedule and meet your teachers) for all students is on August 7th, from 5-7 p.m.

Legacy Ranch High School:

  • “Wrangler Round-up” for New to Legacy Ranch 9th-10th grade students is on August 5, from 4-6 p.m.
  • “Wrangler Rodeo” (walk your schedule and meet your teachers)  for all students is on August 7th, from 5-7 p.m.
  • Schedules: All secondary schedules will be available ONLINE through Skyward on August 7th at 3 p.m.

Additional Information

  • Liberty Hill ISD will utilize the SMART TAG system in the 2025-26 school year. If your child needs transportation, please sign up for Transportation Services at the following link: 

    FAQ’s:

    • Where do I find my route? Routes are in the SmartTag parent portal. Once registered to ride the bus it will take 3-4 days for the route to show up in parent portal.
    • Where is my bus stop? Locations will be in the parent portal on Aug. 8th.
    • When should we arrive at the bus stop (drop off, arrival)? At least five minutes prior to bus stop arrival time.
    • How will my child go to school on the first day? If you were provided a bus SmartTag last year, your child will use the same SmartTag this year. Complete the 25/26 Transportation Registration form.
    • I am a new bus rider, when will I get my SmartTag? Students will be provided a SmartTag by the campus or the bus driver.
    • I don’t have a student ID yet, how do I sign up for a SmartTag? Use 000000 if you don’t have a student ID number yet. Please make sure your address in registration matches SkyWard.
    • What if the weather is bad? Bad weather does not stop buses from continuing their routes. 
    • What if there is a delay? The district will send out notification through the SmartTag parent portal.
    • What if I lose my SmartTag? There is a $5.00 replacement fee for a new SmartTag.

  • Elementary

    • Doors Open: 7:00 AM
    • 1st Bell/Students Released to Classroom: 7:25 AM
    • Instruction Begins/Tardy Bell: 7:30 AM
    • Dismissal Time: 3:15 PM

    Middle School

    • Doors Open: 8:00 AM
    • 1st Bell/Students Released to Classroom: 8:25 AM
    • Instruction Begins/Tardy Bell: 8:30 AM
    • Dismissal Time: 4:15 PM

    High School

    • Doors Open: 7:30 AM
    • 1st Bell/Students Released to Classroom: 7:55 AM
    • Instruction Begins/Tardy Bell: 8:00 AM
    • Dismissal Time: 3:50 PM
  • School supply lists for each grade level can be found at the LHISD School Supply Lists webpage. Students in grades 9-12 will receive information regarding school supplies from teachers during "Meet the Teacher" night, or on the first day of school.

  • Please see student technology assignment details below. This list may be subject to change:

    • Kinder through First Grades: Students are issued iPads that stay at school in a classroom cart.
    • Second through Fifth Grades: Students are issued Chromebooks that stay at school in a classroom cart.
    • Sixth through Eighth Grades: Students are issued Chromebooks during the first two weeks of school and are expected to bring them to and from school each day, ensuring responsible care and use.
    • Ninth Grade & New 10th-12th Students: Students are issued a laptop during "Panther Preview" or "Wrangler Round-up" on August 5th. Those unable to attend will receive their device during the first week of school and are expected to bring their laptop to and from school each day, ensuring responsible care and use.
    • Returning Tenth Grades: Students are issued a laptop during "Panther Prowl" or "Wrangler Rodeo" on August 7th. Those unable to attend will receive their device during the first week of school and are expected to bring their laptop to and from school each day, ensuring responsible care and use.
    • Returning Tenth through Twelfth Grades: Returning students will continue to keep their existing district-issued laptop over the summer and return with it for the Fall '25-'26.
  • You may submit your online application for free and reduced lunches within Skyward Family Access.  

  • Registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open. All new students must complete online registration. All returning students will need to verify information including address and emergency contact info within Skyward.

    New Student Enrollment - Please register and provide all required documents by Monday, Aug. 4. New students to the district must be complete by this deadline. Not enrolling by this time will cause a delay in enrollment and may cause your child to not be able to participate in class walks, meet-the-teacher events, or may not be assigned to classrooms for the start of school. Completed submissions made after the deadline will take a minimum of two business days for processing.
