About ParentSquare
Liberty Hill ISD uses ParentSquare for teacher, campus, and district communication to and from parents including email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare can also be used to communicate with staff and students 6th grade and higher.
Liberty Hill ISD uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number from Skyward Family Access. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified, as well as set which language they prefer for sending and receiving messages.
Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:
ParentSquare provides easy-to-follow in-depth training courses for parents, teachers and admins.
- Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
- Direct message teachers or staff
- Participate in group messages
- Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
- Sign forms & permission slips, sign up to volunteer, and more - all from your desktop or mobile device
Get Started Now
1. Go to Parentsquare.com and Download the App for Android or iPhone (ParentSquare will be available to new, incoming students and their parents.)
2. Once registered at Liberty Hill ISD, ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number from Skyward Family Access. Liberty Hill ISD staff will Log in using your Liberty Hill ISD Google Account.
3. Verify your Information (you’ll only need to do this once)
4. Set Your Notification Preferences to Instant or Digest (once a day) depending on your preference
5. Set Your Language Settings to the language you want to send and receive messages
6. Explore your Parent Dashboard - Desktop and your Parent Dashboard - MobileApp

What is Parent Square?
- Parent Square is a mass communication system that school districts use to communicate district messaging and campus-level messaging. Liberty Hill ISD will utilize Parent Square as its email communication system for the 23-24 school year and beyond.
How do I get started?
1. Download the App for Android or iPhone
2. Log in using your Liberty Hill ISD Google Account (Employees) or Skyward email (Parents)
3. Verify your Information (you’ll only need to do this once)
4. Set Your Notification Preferences to Instant or Digest (once a day) depending on your preference
5. Set your Language Settings
Can I use Parent Square now?
- The system is now live. Current Staff and Students (6th grade and higher) may log in using their Liberty Hill ISD Google Account, and Parents using the email account we have for them in Skyward.
What if my email, phone number or name is incorrect in ParentSquare?
- Please verify that your information is current in Skyward Access as ParentSquare pulls information directly from that system. If you have a change to make, go into Skyward, select Contact Information, update it and then hit the button that says, "Request Changes." Some information requires further verification in order for the registrar to accept the change.
- New students to the district will not be loaded into ParentSquare until after the first days of school. ParentSquare updates information nightly. Any changes will be reflected within 24-48 hours.

- Go to HELP (?) in the right hand corner of the desktop version or the Help tab on the app (under the triple bar icon at the top left) and utilize ParentSquare assistance, employees will have a chat feature available at this screen.

I am trying to log into my ParentSquare but receiving the message Account Not Found. What now?
- Please make sure you are using the same email that you use with your student's Skyward Family Access account. You can correct or edit information in Skyward Family Access, and REQUEST CHANGE and SAVE. After you provide any proof documents the registrar requires, once approved, Skyward will sync with ParentSquare and you'll be able to sign in with the same email you use in Skyward.
How do I add my spouse for my children so he can also communicate in ParentSquare?
- If you add your spouse in Skyward Family Access, and hit REQUEST CHANGE, SAVE. Once approved, Skyward will automatically sync with ParentSquare the next night and you will both have access.

All district and school, grade level and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).

- Liberty Hill ISD: Schedule all Posts to Parents to arrive between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to respect time boundaries
- If Family Two is not showing up in Parent Square, instruct parents to log into their Skyward Family Access and make sure Family Two has an email address and phone number. Make any needed edit, then select REQUEST CHANGE, and Save. Then, once the registrar approves the change, after receiving any required documentation, Skyward syncs with ParentSquare automatically over night.
Make sure to include the following items
- Welcome Post - Select the Option for Do not notify (only post on 'Posts' page)
- Utilize a template located within the ParentsSquare Menu, by selecting “New Posts” then following the directions below.
- How to Create a Newsletter/Post from a Template
- Add Teacher, Room Parent or Teacher Assistant to a Class
- Schedule Meet the Teacher Appointment Sign-Ups
- Open the dialog with parents, sending them a Direct Message with photos or feedback of their student at school
- Request a Wish List or other Sign-Up Lists for Parents
- Create groups for subsets of students, clubs, UIL groups
- Be sure your StudentID’s are 6 digits long in your spreadsheet before uploading, Go to Format Number, Set Custom Number Format to 000000
- Add Events to your class Calendar
- Upload Files/Forms/Flyers you want accessible to Parents
