Liberty Hill ISD is delighted to announce the hiring of Aaron Russo as Principal of Rancho Sienna Elementary School following Monday night’s Board meeting on May 1, 2023. As an alumni of Liberty Hill ISD, Aaron enjoys serving the students and families of his own Alma Mater.
Aaron has been the Liberty Hill Elementary School Assistant Principal for the past three years after teaching and coaching at both Liberty Hill Middle and High School the previous two years. He attended Dallas Baptist University where he earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Sports Management/Communications and his Masters in Educational Leadership in 2018. While attending the university, he worked in Game Day Operations, then as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant while teaching in Birdville ISD.
A steady and compassionate servant leader, Principal Russo is committed to making an impact on each and every student that walks through the Rancho Sienna Elementary School doors as he helps to build them as champions for the workforce and community. “I believe it is a collective community impact as we continue to focus on our hearts, talents and diverse backgrounds to create and foster a learning environment that empowers and inspires each student,” said Russo. “I am honored and blessed to join the great family and community of Rancho Sienna Elementary School. I am proud to serve with you RSES!”
Aaron and his wife Meredith are blessed with their miracle son Amos. Aaron is the middle child of a big Italian family that believes in supporting each other, good competition, and good food. He learned the power of teamwork, the importance of discipline, and the value of strong relationships from his family, educators, coaches, and community members that have invested in him. “Being an alum, and having the honor to serve this special community fills my heart with pride,” said Russo. “Being a Panther and making an impact on this great community means the world to me.”
For fun, Aaron enjoys being involved, being active and participating in good, friendly competition. He believes that barriers are broken and great connections can be made through teamwork. He also loves the peace and challenge of fishing. It reminds him of growing up and being on a boat with his brothers and dad.
Russo would like to thank his wife for keeping him grounded when he has his big ideas, his brothers Anthony and Nick for never taking it easy on him and for always looking out for him, his sisters, Anna and Grace for helping him be adaptable and grow as an encourager. He would also like to thank Barry and Blake Boren for seeing a leader in him and giving him opportunities to run with ideas, Heather Collison for seeing his heart and skill set, and all of Liberty Hill Elementary for allowing him to be part of the family. “Liberty Hill ES has shaped me in so many ways and I am forever grateful for all the relationships and memories made at LHE,” said Russo.
