Liberty Hill ISD summer construction projects update

Posted Date: 6/03/24 (3:57 PM)

Panther Stadium Turf ReplacementStudents may be home and homework might be a thing of the past, but construction work ramps up in the summer months here in Liberty Hill ISD!

Today, we had a chance to swing by Panther Stadium to see the turf and track replacement. As you can see from these photos, it looks very different from the end of the school year - just a mere week ago! We anticipate the replacement of the turf and track to be complete by mid-July. This replacement is part of the Bond 2023 Proposition C package.

Did you know that every single Liberty Hill High School athletic team and the band uses our field  in some capacity? Because of you, our voters, passing this proposition, our students will be safer this fall when playing on the track or field. Thank you!

Currently, we have several projects in full swing across the district to ensure we are ready for our students to return in August. A few examples are:

  • Portables at Louine Noble Elementary School have been moved to Liberty Hill Middle School and they will begin installing playground equipment this week.

  • Ag Barn renovations are underway. We anticipate a camera system and two new pens to be installed over the summer.

  • The bus barn area and Championship Drive will be repaved.

  • Liberty Hill Middle School is currently undergoing renovations to update their Fine Arts wing.

  • The Administrative Building is being renovated to house the new, expanded 18+ program.

  • The “megatron” portable will be disassembled at Santa Rita Middle School and reassembled at Liberty Hill High School to house the Success Academy and our new District Alternative Education Program (DAEP).

For more details about these projects and more, visit our Bond@Work website.

Interested in taking a bus tour with us where you can learn more about each of our projects and ask questions of Superintendent Snell as we traverse the district? Stay on the lookout for one of our quarterly bus tour opportunities! We hope to see you there!
