For an insanely impressive seventh year in a row, Liberty Hill High School Robotics advanced to the State round of their Fall semester competition “BEST,” which stands for Boosting Engineering Science and Technology. The fall of 2023 season for Liberty Hill robotics puts the focus on examining past competitions and seeing “what can be done better,” said Sophomore Tres Andrews.

Students credit their success to “the process.” Senior Madelena Florez, project manager for the team, explains “[the team] has progressively gotten better and it has shown in the competitions.” “The process,” repeated by many robotics students, refers to “the processes [they have] implemented over the past few years, narrowing down the way we do things resulting in success,” as stated by Senior Building Manager Cole Labay. After speaking with Mr. Pascal, he expressed his involvement in the club is limited, and “the success of the program is up to the students.” The passion of the club members was overwhelmingly obvious after hearing them speak about the roles they play in the department.

The Liberty Hill community was prided by the success of this team, and can’t wait to see what will be done in the Spring semester competition, “FIRST”, meaning For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Congratulations Liberty Hill Robotics!
